Death of a Salesman
Mitchell Rossi Journal #1: Quotation Eng. 11 7/8
“I’ll take you to a place I know”.
1949 pg. 66. What a fantastic line that relates to the world famous movie
Anchorman, The Legend of Ron Burgundy. This film by Adam McKay tells the story
of the channel four news station and its crew. Also how they act behind the
scenes and on the camera. When Legend Ron Burgundy meets the new Co-Anchor
Veronica Corningstone as she gets a job at the station, they immediately fall
in love with each other. Ron takes Veronica on a very romantic date around San
Diego.
Later takes her to her house as they make out and get in bed. Veronica
says to Ron take me to pleasure town, he says oh were going there. So this is
why I chose this quote “I’ll take you to a place I know” reminded me of the
quote “take me to pleasure town” in the movie. This story Death of a Salesman
was an old but yet very interesting book. Now, Willy was a mean man losing his
mind, but let me tell you something. Willy wants Biffy get off his bus and get
a job.
Biff and Happy are not capable enough to get a job in the city. This
story relates kind of like Anchorman. How Ron Burgundy is so lazy by lifting
weights in his office and drinks scotch on the job. Both of these stories have
different story lines. They’re also classics and remembered still to this day.
Both stories connect in different ways and different quotes.
